Rolex has been playing around a bit with what to call its new performance standards and I think it is wise to promote the “new meaning” of “Superlative Chronometer.” Basically, it means COSC Chronometer certification plus Rolex’s own “Rolex Certification.” The former is arguably redundant as Rolex’s standards are more stringent, requiring accuracy of -2/+2 seconds per day.
